Aviation & Logistics Operations AI

Drone operations management, delivery route optimization and operations analytics, designed on the model airlines use to keep a schedule alive when the plan falls apart.

Who this is for

The problem, stated plainly

Aviation solved a version of this decades ago. An airline moves aircraft and crew through weather, curfews, maintenance windows and duty-time limits every day, and the plan changes every hour. It works because the operation runs on an operations control model: one place where the live picture, the rules and the decision authority meet.

Most logistics and drone operations do not have that place. The picture is in a spreadsheet, the rules are in a veteran's memory, and the decision is made on a phone. That is what we build the replacement for.

What we build

Drone operations management systems

A single system for flight planning, live telemetry on a map, pre-flight confirmation against the actual regulations, and a flight log that survives an audit. For Japan that means registration, DIPS permits, Remote ID and airspace checks built into the workflow rather than left to the pilot. The reference implementation is the operations layer of Airffic World, which we also build to order for operators with their own fleet.

Route optimization AI

Multi-stop routing models that respect time windows, vehicle capacity, driver hours and the constraints your dispatcher knows but has never written down. We run the model against your last six months of deliveries first, so the projected savings in distance, hours and CO₂ are measured on your data before anyone changes a route.

Operations analytics and demand forecasting

Delivery records, telematics, weather and calendar data combined into a forecast that feeds the plan. The output is not a dashboard to admire but a recommended plan for tomorrow, with the confidence range attached.

Anomaly detection for live operations

Late departures, route deviations, load anomalies and telemetry dropouts detected as they happen and pushed to the person who can act, with the recommended action attached. The airline term is exception management: the controller sees only what needs a decision.

Where the aviation model shows

Three habits from airline operations control shape every system on this list. Checklists over memory: pre-flight and pre-departure confirmation run off a list the system enforces, not recall. No single point of failure: no route, permit or decision depends on one person being present. Exception management: automation handles the normal case so the human sees only the exceptions.

We write about how these transfer in running drone inspection as a system, not a skill.

Figures are indicative; a formal quote follows once requirements are defined. Remote engagements in English are the norm for clients outside Japan.

What this will not do

Route optimization does not fix a warehouse that ships late, and a drone operations system does not make an unlicensed flight legal. We say so in the consultation when the bottleneck is somewhere AI cannot reach. Our own drone flight operations business is still in preparation; what we offer today is the design and development of the operations layer.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need clean data before starting?

No. A proof of concept is partly a data audit: we find out what your delivery records, telematics or flight logs actually contain and what has to be added. Most clients have more usable data than they think and less structure than they hope, and the PoC plan accounts for both.

Can you work with our existing dispatch or fleet software?

Usually. Route optimization and anomaly detection are built as services that read from and write back to what you already run, through export files at minimum and APIs where they exist. Replacing your core system is not a prerequisite.

Do you build drone operations systems for fleets outside Japan?

Yes. The regulatory layer is national, so registration, permit and airspace rules are configured per country; the operations control layer (telemetry, checklists, logs, exception alerts) is the same everywhere. Airffic World is the reference implementation.

How is this different from buying a routing SaaS?

A routing SaaS optimizes routes. We start one step earlier, with the constraints your dispatcher applies without being able to name them, and one step later, with the anomaly detection and forecasting that decide when the plan should change. If a SaaS product genuinely covers your case, we will tell you and help you choose one.
