What changes when AI is used for facade inspection?
The first-pass survey that used to require scaffolding or an aerial work platform and a technician on site can now be done from photographs alone. The AI automatically detects cracking, spalling, rust and water leak staining, and immediately produces a report with a severity rating (high / medium / low) and an urgency score from 1 to 10 — so you know where to start within the first few minutes.
What kind of photos do I need? Is special equipment required?
Ordinary smartphone photos are enough — no dedicated camera or drone is needed. Accuracy holds as long as the area of interest fits in frame and is adequately lit. JPEG, PNG and HEIC are supported, and you can upload up to 20 images per batch.
Can the AI results replace an inspection by a qualified engineer?
No. This service is intended as a first-pass screening tool and does not replace statutory inspections or detailed surveys by qualified professionals. It is designed so that areas the AI flags as high severity can be prioritised for expert review. Always confirm the final assessment and any need for remedial work with a qualified professional.
